A Professional Client is a client who meets the regulatory criteria established by FCA, demonstrating sufficient trading experience, financial knowledge, and portfolio size to be classified as having a higher level of expertise. This classification provides access to higher leverage limits. However, Professional Clients have a lower level of regulatory protection compared to retail clients. This includes reduced investor safeguards such as the absence of negative balance protection, certain risk warnings, and compensation schemes. Before electing Professional Client status, clients should carefully assess the risks involved and confirm that they meet all eligibility requirements as defined by regulatory standards.
